The United Way of Central Massachusetts has provided more than $8.4 million in the last year to Central Massachusetts nonprofits working to help individuals and families facing challenges, including lost income, social and physical well-being, emergency child care, unstable housing, food insecurity, and more.

Dear Colleagues:

Office of the President

December 14, 2022

Anna Maria College Community,

United Way of Central Massachusetts has been a leader in our community for over 100 years, partnering with community agencies to improve the community and breaking the cycle of poverty. In Worcester alone, more than 80,000 people live at or below the poverty level. One in seven students from low-income families will not graduate on time. Statewide, more than 700,000 children and adults experience food insecurity, and the hunger rate in the state is growing. These are complex problems that require complex solutions and cooperation between organizations. This work would not be possible without your help.

As in the past, the United Way of Central Massachusetts has asked for Anna Maria College's continued support in their service to individuals and families in need. Together, we can help provide many in our community with access to food, shelter, and other essential resources they may not otherwise have.

Every pledge-of any amount-makes a difference. Together, we can have a big impact. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,
